According to Zillow.com, Oprah Winfrey has bought a 23-acre estate, called Seamair Farm, in Montecito, CA for $28.85 million. The home sits between the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.
Marty Rogers of Sage Auctions who sold the property with Dan Encell of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices says, “It’s about three-quarters of a mile from the beach and up against the mountains, right in the heart of Montecito, where a lot of celebrities live.” Some of her famous neighbors include Ellen DeGeneres, Jeff Bridges, Rob Lowe, and Drew Barrymore.
The estate has two acres of avocado groves and citrus trees, plus two private wells that are holding up well during California’s historical drought.
The 4,750 square foot home has four fireplaces, a pool, open and covered patios, a manager’s cottage, and horse trainer’s house. Outside there are stables, barns, riding rings, irrigated pastures, and fencing for her show horses.
The queen of talk already owns two other homes, a $14 million ski home in Colorado with a “wine mine” and a 42-acre estate in Montecito that has its own teahouse.
