A certain North Side athlete’s home just hit the market. Chicago Cubs pitcher, Jake Arrieta, that is.
The six-bedroom home Arrieta and his family had been renting was listed for sale Wednesday, asking $1.799 million according to Chicago Tribune.
Built in 2015, the Lakeview home is located just northwest of Wrigley Field, and sits on an extra wide (30ft) lot in the Graceland West community. As tenant, Arrieta enjoyed all the finest finishes you’d expect in a new construction, like a sleek white kitchen outfitted in SubZero, Bosch and Wolf appliances. Additional features of the 5,000+ square foot house include: smart surround sound, radiant flooring, extensive millwork and carpentry throughout the three levels of living space. There’s also a welcoming front porch, back stone patio with a fireplace, and roof deck, all suitable for entertaining.
As Arrieta enters free agency, his offseason home is in Austin, Texas.

A six-bedroom, 6,100-square-foot Lincoln Park mansion that once belonged to former Chicago Blackhawks center Dave Bolland sold on June 20 for $2.21 million — just $40,000 below its asking price.
Bolland, who was with the Chicago Blackhawks for two Stanley Cup-winning seasons, purchased the single family home in 2009 for $1.775 million and sold it in late 2013 for $1.95 million. After Bolland, the following owners invested a series of renovations and updates for the home, as seen in the listing photos of 2625 N. Paulina St.
The Lincoln Park home has 6 bedrooms, 5½ baths, a commercial grade kitchen, four fireplaces, custom millwork, crown moldings and hardwood floors throughout. Outdoor features include a three-car garage topped by a sport court, along with a landscaped walk-out deck off of the family room.
