Washington Park – Chicago, IL
September 28th – October 30th
According to the Hyde Park News:
During its stay in Chicago, UniverSoul Circus, an interactive show that combines circus arts with musical theater, plans on imparting an important message to local youth: Your Life Matters.
On Wednesday, Sept. 28, the UniverSoul Circus big top, located in Washington Park at East 51st Street and Cottage Grove Avenue, will host community organizations and children from all over Chicago for a Your Life Matters pre-show event. Numerous youth organizations will perform during the pre-show segment.
UniverSoul Circus founder and CEO Cedric Walker said that the message to Chicago youth that their lives have value is a meaningful and necessary form of encouragement. Wednesday’s event will celebrate those community organizations helping to further this message.
UniverSoul Circus was born from the community,” Walker said. “There are so many organizations working to encourage and uplift our children, and we want to celebrate these types of programs. They are helping our children to see that reaching their goals is possible.”
The event will kick off under the big top at 4 p.m. The UniverSoul Circus plays Washington Park through Sunday, Oct. 30. To purchase tickets to the circus, visit Ticketmaster or the UniverSoul Circus box office.
