Designer Lincoln Park Mansion asks $8.5M

As one of Lincoln Park’s most expensive properties for sale — and among the most expensive in all of Chicagoland, for that matter — you can expect this home to be extra noteworthy. Located at 2230 N. Wayne, the masterfully designed 10,000 square foot home features elegant and bold interiors inspired by the architectural stylings of late architect David Adler. Inside, you’ll find 5 beds and 8 bathrooms, along with exceptional outdoor living spaces. So, what’s the asking price? The home is currently on the market for $8,500,000.

T.J. Maxx, BlueMercury to takeover Clark and Diversey with New Retail Development

THIS JUST IN—T.J. Maxx and Bluemercury to move into the vacancy at Clark and Diversey. You may have known it as the Vitamin Shoppe, Starbucks, or the Coconuts video store of the 90’s and early 2000’s, but as of now, the building will be home to discount clothing store T.J. Maxx, leasing 4,800 square feet of the ground floor and the entire 15,800-square-foot second floor.

The current structure at the intersection of Clark Street and Diversey Parkway is noticeably prepared for demolition as retail real estate investor Acadia Realty Trust is set to build a fully-renovated retail building

At first glance, the new building offers a reminiscent, yet modern look to a typically vintage Clark Street. Still, it stays true to a “two-story max” theme that keeps Clark Street distinct from the rest of the rising city.

While T.J. Maxx plans to takeover the second floor, Bluemercury, a cosmetic company and spa chain, will lease about 2,100 square feet on the ground floor, and share the remaining spaces with other tenants.

Demolition is set to last over the next couple of months and, according to an article by the Chicago Tribune, Acadia executive Christopher Conlon slates the building is set for completion sometime in 2018.

As far as the future of the longstanding T.J. Maxx merely blocks away (located above the now neighborhood Walmart), no word has been given.

Lincoln Park Home has 4 Ultra-Cool Bathrooms

This Lincoln Park home has serious style. Located on Seminary Avenue, the 6-bedroom single family home is currently on the market — and beautifully appointed in tasteful and top-of-the-line finishes. Every room is eye catching, but we at Preview Chicago can’t help but notice: the bathrooms. Each of the four (and a half) bathrooms has a unique, chic design. Take a look for yourself…

The master bathroom features an oversized steam shower with dual rainfall showerheads — plus a freestanding Victoria + Albert tub enclosed within the shower. Pretty cool, right? The remaining bathrooms are noteworthy, too, incorporating marble detailing, intricate tile, industrial fixtures, and designer wallpaper.
