Want to spruce up your bathroom, but don’t have the time for elaborate projects (or budget for the renovation you’ve always dreamed of?) Don’t worry. Tackling a DIY project may seem like a huge endeavor, but that’s not always the case. An hour is more than enough time to do-it-yourself. Here, we’ve gathered 11 projects that will take you less than sixty minutes to complete (to be fair, that doesn’t include drying time—but who wants to watch paint dry?).

Leftover paint and pickle jars are all you need for this super-simple storage solution for your cotton balls and q-tips. We love how Jodie at eighteen25 jazzed up her jars with glass curio knobs, but you can top your creation with any spare knobs you’ve got on hand or nothing at all. Beside your sink or displayed on a tray, they’re a quick and elegant way to dress up your powder room.

Maybe throwing all of your toiletries into your medicine cabinet may not be the best solution, but it’s certainly the easiest. The DIY Playbook‘s method takes only slightly more work, and looks significantly better. Combine plastic boxes—available cheap at The Container Store, Target, or whatever home store you prefer—with washi tape and printed labels and suddenly, everything looks a whole lot neater. That’s a big payoff for such little work.

There’s no need for your white hand towels to keep being boring when it’s so easy to make them your own. This project from I Spy DIY is so easy, and great for creative kids who want to help out around the house. Want a set of towels your guests will salivate over? All you need is fabric paint, sponges, and an iron to create totally original—not to mention colorful—patterns that are uniquely you.
